About Ebony Yelder

Providing Individual Online Therapy for Louisiana, Georgia & New Jersey

Hi, I’m Ebony (she/her)

Ebony Yelder, MA, LPC
Licensed in Louisiana, Georgia & New Jersey

I have a passion for helping people identify their strengths and learn how to use them as tools for healing and growth.

My path to becoming a therapist started over 20 years ago in foster care work in NYC right after college. Working with kids who desperately needed someone in their corner—someone to be their voice—lit a fire in me. I knew I wanted to develop the skills to truly help people who felt unheard and unseen.

Since then, I've worked in diverse settings including behavioral health hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and with the Department of Defense supporting service members and their families. Each experience has shaped my understanding that healing happens in many different ways. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

Personally, one of my biggest growth moments was learning to truly accept who I am and not be defined by negative past experiences. That journey taught me so much about resilience and self-compassion—lessons I now share with my clients every day.

When I'm not in session, you'll find me planning my next adventure or combining my love of art, music, and travel.
